This keypad day and night lock comes with two keys and features a black front plate. This allows you to easily combine this mortise lock with your new black door handles from our range.
Turning the latch of the mortise lock
When installing this black deadbolt, you naturally want the beveled edge of the latch bolt to fit perfectly into the strike plate. Fortunately, turning the latch bolt is very simple. Take a sharp object (like a screwdriver) and push the shim upward into the slot-shaped recess. The latch bolt will now automatically release from the faceplate. Turn it the right way, push it back into the lock case, and you're ready to screw it into your door.
Tips for the correct sizing of your door fittings
This lock is suitable for almost any standard door in the Netherlands, but always check the backset first. It's 50 mm. Because this lock has a 56 mm pitch, it's essential that you choose door hardware with the exact same pitch. This is the distance between the center of the handle hole and the center of the keyhole. By paying attention to this, you can ensure that your new black door escutcheons or rosettes fit seamlessly.
