How do you turn the latch of this mortise lock?
Don't worry about the swing direction of your door. The latch bolt of this mortise lock is easily adjusted to your door swing direction.
You solve it like this:

Use a flat head screwdriver to push the cover plate up into the slot-shaped recess.

The latch bolt now springs forward out of the forend.

Manually turn the latch bolt to the desired side.

Push the latch bolt back into the housing and you are ready to install the lock in the door.
