"My interior style is colorful, bold, and very personal," she says. "I like an interior that doesn't feel like a cookie-cutter design. For me, it's about atmosphere and originality, preferably with items that are just a little different from the norm." Precisely in such an outspoken home, details like door fittings are the finishing touch that brings everything together.

When selecting new door handles, Margriet looked for a balance between a powerful statement and a friendly appearance. She ultimately chose the Oristano series. "Black provides a powerful accent, but the rounded shape makes the door handle not feel harsh or severe. I also considered a warm bronze color, but in the end, black felt more timeless to me," Margriet explains.

Smart and quick renovation with the escutcheon plate

In addition to aesthetics, practical convenience also played a role in her choice. Margriet deliberately opted for a door handle model with an escutcheon. This is a smart choice for anyone who wants to refresh their interior without immediately starting a major project.

"Our previous door handles also had an escutcheon. By choosing this again, we didn't have to fully adapt or paint the doors first. That felt like too much work for now," Margriet explains. The result is an immediately visible upgrade, without the need for filler and paint.
